Use of Funds

Money doesn't grow on trees.
Clinical cancer research requires an enormous amount of time, money and hard work. Although additional tests, procedures and medications required by the clinical trial protocol account for some of the costs associated with clinical research, the majority of the expense actually comes from the paying dedicated and skilled staff required to conduct a clinical trial. This includes both the staff required to meet increasingly stringent regulatory requirements as well as the staff needed to ensure that the tremendous amount of data being tracked is accurately collected and submitted. Funds also assist with the costs associated with a Pediatric Oncology Data Research Manager.

Kidz for a Cure helps to make a difference in the lives of many local children participating in pediatric clinical research trials. Research is our strongest weapon in the fight against cancer since we can identify new targets and strategies to attack and one day prevent cancer. Successful clinical trials are a crucial step to making new therapies widely available by bringing them to market.
